I am an affiliate marketer trying to sell a distributor's products on my site. I am in the process of adding and configuring the shopping cart software to my site. My question is, does the distributor have a hand in the shopping cart configuration? Should the shopping cart software somehow link to the distributors in that all orders would be sent up to them? Common sense says that it would. I asked the distributors for their information, if there were any specifications they would have liked for the shopping cart set-up. So far, they have not gotten back to me yet. I thought of my question as being harmless, but maybe I did indicate my ignorance of the whole thing by asking. I don't know, you be the judge. The following is an email that I sent to the distributors:
Admin,
I have sent this email a little while back and have received no response. I pray that this email reaches the right department who would be able to cater my inquiries.
This is again. I am sending you this email informing you that I have successfully transfered the URL address onto my site and the site can now be reached through it. Phase 1 is complete and now I am ready to move on to Phase 2, which entails correcting some minor nuances with the site (making it more appealing to visitors to the site) and configuring the shopping cart function of the site as well as adding the necessary SSL certificates in order to make the site secure. Before I begin, I ask if you guys have specifications for the shopping cart function? Do you guys have any information that I need in order to successfully configure the shopping cart tool so that orders and payments would go directly where they need to be, to you guys? Perhaps some software that I may need to incorporate to the site. I desperately need to know.
Please reply back.
Yours Truly,
Any and all help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. |

An affiliate can earn commissions for sales originating from their website simply by adding a link containing a Tracking ID number. Customers that have clicked on a link containing an affiliate's Tracking ID number will earn a credit for that affiliate whenever they place an order for eligible products on the company's store.
Tracking ID numbers, instructions on use and other marketing resources are provided to affiliates by the administrators of the store in question. To obtain the resources you require, contact that store's administrator. This information must be provided by the store's administrator; it isn't something that Modular Merchant's tech support department can provide.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction in determining which parties to contact to obtain the desired marketing information. _________________ Modular Merchant Mail Bag
