Hi,
I have hundreds of products in my shopping cart. I would like to set-up my sales team as affiliates so I can track their sales. I got questions.
1. How can I assign the same commission percentage to all the items and click the 'yes' button on each item? Hopefully there's a way other than doing it one by one.
2. I'm also not seeing how an affiliate can set-up their own account.
3. Can an affiliate take a phone order and automatically get commission without manually noting it?

It is possible to assign Commission Values to a group of products all at once. This can be done within the store's administration area at: [Modules > Affiliate Marketing > Assign Commission Values to Products]. On that page you can search for groups of products and update them all at once.

The store has a built-in registration page, where Affiliates can create their own accounts. A link to your store's registration page can be found at [Modules > Affiliate Marketing]. That page contains a link titled "Affiliate Registration page", which will load the registration page.

If the affiliate is placing a phone order from within the store's administration area, then this is possible. When using the Place an Order tool (located at: [Customers > Place an Order]), Step 3 of the order process will include a field to record an Affiliate's Tracking ID number. If a Tracking ID number is entered in this field, then the Affiliate that owns it will earn a commission for that order.

I got all the products now marked as 'open'. Next, how do I change all the commission values in one big swoop?
Also, if my sales staff signs-up a new customer, is there any way to indicate that the customer is his so he can receive a commission on all future sales from that customer? |

That can be done on that same "Assign Commission Values to Products" page. For each product listed on the page, select the desired value from the menu titled "Commission Value". Click the "submit" button to save the changes.

Simply have the staff member click on a link containing one of their own Affiliate Tracking ID numbers. This will set an affiliate tracking cookie on their computer. Then, any order placed on that computer will earn a commission for that Affiliate.

If I understand the question correctly, then yes. The "Assign Commission Values to Products" page will display a long list of products. Each product will have an option for the Commission Value to assign to it (if any). The preferred commission to apply to each product listed on that page should be selected from the menu for each product. When saved, the updates will be applied to each product listed on the page.
