It is important that my store has the capability to be sold/advertised on facebook and twitter. Is this something that you are planning on adding in the next version?

What specifically do you have in mind? For example: Embedding "add to cart" links for products in FaceBook and Twitter, checkout in FaceBook instead of the storefront? Other?
Some details on what is envisioned for this type of integration will be very helpful. Thank you!

That is exactly what I have in mind. Being able to link a product and promote it on facebook so that users can "add to cart from there." Also, being able to advertise promotions would also be great! Look at Volusion or CoreCommerce for examples of how they integrate facebook. Thanks!

Everything is going social. We are looking at creating a twitter, facebook, and mobile sections for our business and am very curious about future plans in these areas.
I might have missed it but is there any plans for a phone app as well? |

Yes, more Twitter and FaceBook integration tools are planned for development. A date for these items has not been established, as there is much work on the next major update, MMv4, still to be completed.
A phone app has also been discussed as a possibility, but this is a lower priority than the others. Since Modular Merchant is a web-based service, it is already available via the web browser on most smart phones, thus making an additional app specific to a proprietary system redundant.
