Hi - I am looking for a way to set a session variable for a product so I can pull in the quickcode tags for a specific product.

or...

A way to make a PHP variable that pulls in the product info into the quickcode tags.

Thanks

Hello,

It is possible to assign different product Templates to specific products from the standard product editor, in the Administration area. For example, if you have Product A that has a customized Product HTML template associated with it, when the customer clicks on the image or on the more info; they will be taken to the customized Product HTML template rather than the standard Product template.

The benefit to using a Product HTML template, is that all of the QuickCode Tags that work in the standard Product HTML template will also work in the customized Product HTML Template.

The Product HTML template is setup in such a way as to allow the "Save as new HTML Template" function to create multiple copies of the Product template.

For more information about creating multiple Product HTML Templates for your specific products, please refer to the Design Guide: http://www.modularmerchant.com/docs/Design_Guide_MMv3.pdf

To assign a specific Product HTML template to a product, please do the following:

1. From the Administration area go to [Navigation Menu > Products > Search Products], find the product in question and click on the name to open the Standard Product Editor.
2. Click on the Display Options tab.
3. In Option # 6, choose the specific customized Product HTML template desired for this product.
4. Click Submit when finished. Now when the customer clicks on the product image they will be taken to the customized Product HTML template rather than the standard product template.

I hope this information was helpful and points you in the right direction. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
