| Quote: | | Is there a way to integrate a Paypal website payments standard account into Modular Merchant? | Yes. Following is more information on the process.
What is PayPal's Website Payments Standard?
By default, PayPal accounts can accept payments by other PayPal members. By enrolling in PayPal's Website Payments Standard system, PayPal accounts add the option to also accept payments by credit card. The customer placing the order doesn't even need a PayPal account.
How do I set up my Modular Merchant account to take advantage of PayPal's Website Payments Standard system?
In your Modular Merchant account's Administration area, navigate to Admin > System Settings. On the System Settings page, you will find a series of options titled, "PayPal Settings". (See Figure 1 below.)

Activating these System Settings will add a "Buy now with PayPal" button as an option on your store's Checkout page. (See Figure 2 below.)

Selecting the "Buy now with PayPal" button will load your own account area on PayPal's website. If you are enrolled in PayPal's Website Payments Standard system, the customer will have the option to pay by either their PayPal account or by credit card.
After the customer completes their purchase in your PayPal account area, they are returned to your Modular Merchant store's "Thank You / Receipt" page. |
