How do I update my Modular Merchant account?
For clients running version 3.x:
The next time you log in to your store Administration area, this update will automatically be installed.

If you're already logged in to your store's administration area when this update becomes available, then an icon stating "An Update is Available" will be displayed in the upper-right section of your Admin Home page. Click this icon to review the release notes, and then install the update by clicking the "Install this Update" button at the bottom of that page.

This update includes the following items:

Design Packages
Fixed a bug in the "default" series of Design Packages that could prevent the "Add to Cart" button on the product detail pages from working in certain circumstances. The latest version of these Design Packages can be installed from within your store's administration area at: [Navigation Menu > Design > Get Design Packages].
Placing Free ($0.00) Orders
Changed the way in which free ($0.00) orders that still include credit card information are submitted to Authorize.net for approval. Previously, a $0.00 credit card order would be submitted to Authorize.net as a $0.01 "authorize-only" transaction. (This allows the credit card to be validated.) These orders will now be submitted as a $0.05 "authorize-only" transaction because the penny transaction was causing problems when validating the credit cards of some international customers.
[Products > Home Page Products] Page
Recent improvements to the "Search Products" page have made the "Home Page Products" page obsolete. As such, this page has been removed from the store's administration area.
[Products > Active Products] Page
Recent improvements to the "Search Products" page have made the "Active Products" page obsolete. As such, this page has been removed from the store's administration area.
Pop-Up Windows on Product Details Page
Fixed a bug in which the popup windows to display the large version of a product image would open at the wrong dimensions for product images 2, 3 and 4. (The popup window was opening too small.)
Default seach criteria
Fixed a bug in which the results on the search page would not default to being ordered by their search score.
Open Baskets Report
Fixed an issue in which the Open Basket report would display an error message under certain installations of PHP.
Product Field Not Displayed in Basket
Fixed an issue in which the contents of "Product Fields" were not being displayed in the "My Basket" table in the checkout pages.
Typo on Design Package CSS Editor page
Fixed a typo on the [Design > CSS / JavaScript Files] page. The path to the CSS files contained a typo. Changed "...design_pacckages..." to the correct spelling of "...design_packages..."
Simple Product Editor
Fixed a bug in the Simple Product Editor in which a shipped product that was later edited to have have download added to it would not be changed over to be a "digital delivery" product. (A download password would not be created for the customer when the product was purchased.)
Simple Product Editor
Improved the Simple Product Editor so that leaving required fields empty when attempting to create a new product will no longer display an long list of unnecessary error messages that cause the page to stretch extra wide and look intimidating.
Preventing Incorrect "No Shipping Method Selected" Errors
Improved the portion of the customer registration process that assigns the customer's SID number to the shipping methods they have selected for their order. This should help prevent a rare issue in which a customer's order would incorrectly be declined because "no shipping method was selected".
Display of Database Password
Changed an error message that could be displayed in certain circumstances. The error message contained the database password in certain circumstances. The error message has been changed so that the password is obscured.
Template Links
Added support for using PHP tags as the URL of an "a href" tag in HTML templates. Previously, using PHP tags as the URL in a link would cause the store to alter the link to point to the store's home page.
Design Packages
The message displayed when a new Design Package is installed on the "Get Design Packages" page in the administration area will now include an option to make the newly installed Design Package the "live" package applied to the storefront.
Customer Account Area
A confirmation messages will now be displayed when a customer cancels their scheduled order to a subscription product from within their account area.
[Products > Home Page Products] Page
Added the options to the Search Products page to add/hide selected products on the store home page. This will essentially make the separate, clunky and outdated "[Products > Home Page Products]" page obsolete. This should help speed up the addition/removal of the products listed on the storefront's homepage.
Download Files
Added 11 new mime types to the "Download File" editor in the Digital Products module that will be recognized as "webpage" downloads, instead of "file" downloads.
Admin Home Page
Lists of recent and upcoming changes in software functionality will now be listed at the top of the Admin Home page. Any change that is significant to warrant special mention will be listed here.
