How do I update my Modular Merchant account?
For clients running version 3.x:
The next time you log in to your store Administration area, this update will automatically be installed.

If you're already logged in to your store's administration area when this update becomes available, then an icon stating "An Update is Available" will be displayed in the upper-right section of your Admin Home page. Click this icon to review the release notes, and then install the update by clicking the "Install this Update" button at the bottom of that page.

This update includes the following items:

Product-to-Download File Limitation
Added a system that will allow MM Techs to increase the number of Download Files that may be assigned to a digital product to be greatly increased. (Future software updates will increase this number even more.) If you need to assign more Download Files to a digital product than what is currently allowed, then contact Modular Merchant Tech Support, and this change will be applied to your account.
Product Editor: Clone Product Resets Create Date
Cloning a product will set the new products "create date" to today. Previously, the new product's create date would have been the same as the previous one's.
Placing a $0.00 order that triggers a promotion results in negative product price
Using the "override price" option to change the combined value of all products in an oder to exactly zero, and a promotion that reduces a product's unit price is triggered, then the promotional discount is being applied to that product one additional time, equating in the product gaining a negative unit price.
Global URLs somtimes changed to broken local URLs
Links including a class whose name contained certain keywords would be displayed incorrectly when viewed in the storefront. For example, a link with a class containing the word "link" could cause problems. The software that parses the store's HTML templates has been improved to prevent these keywords from causing problems in links.
SQL error when importing customers with no shipping address
Importing customers with no shipping address data could cause the import to stop with a MySQL error message. This has been changed. Importing customers with no shipping address information is now allowed.
{SUBCATEGORY-DESCRIPTION} QuickCode Tag
Fixed the {SUBCATEGORY-DESCRIPTION} QuickCode Tag. (A typo in the software listed the tag as {SUBCATEGORY-DESCIPTION}, which prevented it from correctly being displayed in the storefront.)
HREF links in HTML Templates
Fixed bug in which href links used in HTML templates could link to an incorrect local URL in some circumstances, instead of the correct global URL.
Remainder Coupons not Generated
The Place an Order tool prevented "remainder" coupons from being created in certain circumstances.
Search Orders: Search by Customer Groups
Added options to the Search Orders page to search for orders placed by customers belonging to a specified Customer Group. The new search options include "search by Customer Group Name" and "search by Customer Group SID".
Product Im/Export: Product Create Date & Edit Date
Added "create date" and "edit date" to the list of criteria available when importing and exporting product data.
Search Orders: Search by product Category
Added options to search by category name and category SID to the Search Orders page. Orders containing products associated with the specified category will be returned in the Search Results section of the page.
Search Orders: Search by product Manufacturer
Added options to search by manufacturer name and manufacturer SID to the Search Orders page. Orders containing products associated with the specified manufacturer will be returned in the Search Results section of the page.
Improved Link Parsing In Support Ticket Editor
The Support Ticket Editor screen wouldn't create links for certain types of URLs listed in a Support Ticket. This has been improved, so more URLs listed in a Support Ticket should automatically be changed into clickable links.
{URL-DELETE-CUSTOMER-SHIP-ADDRESS} QuickCode Tag
Added the {URL-DELETE-CUSTOMER-SHIP-ADDRESS} QuickCode Tag, which can be used in the storefront's customer account area to delete selected shipping addresses. For details, refer to this tag's QuickCode Tag Glossary definition at: http://www.modularmerchant.com/quickcode_details.php?qcid=769
