Does Modular Merchant offer a specialised service with appropriate pricing to those who do not need your hosting services?
I also would like to know whether the monthly bandwidth applies to accounts where files are hosted externally?

Only bandwidth that comes through your Modular Merchant account applies towards the account's monthly bandwidth usage. If files are hosted externally, it's possible to set them up so that no store bandwidth is used when those files are downloaded by customers. For more information on setting up files on a third-party server that won't use store bandwidth when they're downloaded, I'd recommend starting with this forum post:
