How do I update my Modular Merchant account?
For clients running version 3.x:
The next time you log in to your store Administration area, this update will automatically be installed.

If you're already logged in to your store's administration area when this update becomes available, then an icon stating "An Update is Available" will be displayed in the upper-right section of your Admin Home page. Click this icon to review the release notes, and then install the update by clicking the "Install this Update" button at the bottom of that page.

This update includes the following items:

• Customer Groups The Customer Group engine has been completely rewritten. Previously, Customer Groups were simple lists of customers, which meant that adding new customers to a Group had to be done manually. Each new customer had to be added to a Group one-at-a-time.
  
  Now, Customer Groups are comprised of a list of dynamic rules. Any customers that match the Customer Group's rules are included in that Group. For Example: If a Customer Group contains a rule that customers that purchase Product X are in the Group, a customer will be automatically included in that Group the instant they place an order for Product X, and will remain in the Group as long as Product X is in their order history.
  
  Any Customer Groups that you have already created have been converted to the new rule-based system. Those Customer Groups will contain the exact same customers as they previously did.
• System Settings Added a new System Setting, "Decline order if the origin country of the customer's IP address doesn't match customer's billing address?" This System Setting is designed to reduce fraudulent orders. For example, if someone with a Canadian IP address attempts to place an order using a US billing address, the order will be declined.
• Search Products Resolved an issue that could cause an error message to be displayed on the Search Products page the very first time an administrator opened it.
• Storefront Made some improvements to the handling of the selection of shipping methods during the checkout process. (Should prevent the rare occurrence of an error message stating "No Shipping Method Selected" when a shipping method is actually selected.)
• Storefront The "store closed" page was always loading as a secure "https" page, regardless of the options selected in the System Settings. This has been fixed.
• Storefront Improved the compatibility of the "Flood Check" for customers using the "Guest Checkout" option.
• Modular Mailer Error messages will again be displayed when editing an email template. Previously, the error messages were not triggering, allowing users to try and send broken email messages, which would never get sent.
• Modular Mailer Searching the Email Delivery Queue by "recipient email address" was not producing any search results. This has been fixed.
• Customer Groups Redesigned the Customer Group editor to use the new rule-bases Customer Group system. The Customer Groups are located in your store's administration area at: [Navigation Menu > Groups & Zones > Customer Groups].
• Customer Details The Customer Details page now lists any Customer Groups that the customer belongs to.
• Search Orders Improved the "Keyword Search" options on the Search Orders page.
