Hi I would just like to inquire if you can provide us with a merchant account here in the Philippines? We are planning on setting up a webstore that accepts only US dollars currency. Our problem is do you still provide merchant accounts even if we don't have a US address? What other requirement do we have to get to get us up and running. we are planning on using 2CheckOut as payment processor.

Thanks for your inquiry.
You can use any of the merchant accounts listed on our website on the lower left hand corner that offer services in the Philippines including 2Checkout. You will need to sign up with 2Checkout in addition to signing up with Modular Merchant and activating your account.
As far as what type of currency you choose to select, that is done with your merchant account, in this case 2Checkout.
You do not need a US address to have either a Modular Merchant account or to use an international merchant account.

Thank you very much for the reply. I just want to clear something because i'm a bit confused - sorry, When we activate our account in Modular Merchant; 2Checkout's job is just to verify the credit card details and approve the payment? Who deposits the transaction to our bank account? Please excuse me for being like this as I know little of this things. Thank you. |

Hello,
You are correct about the payment gateway's function. The payment gateway's function is to authorize and charge the customer's credit cards, as well as to deposit the funds into your bank account.
