Walk Through: Create a Coupon Code for a Specific Customer

I've made a quick step-by-step guide on creating a coupon for customers to redeem. (For complete details, please see the Coupon & Gift Certificates module's manual at: http://www.modularmerchant.com/docs/Coupon_Module_Admin_Guide.pdf)

How To Create a Coupon:

1. In your store's Administration area, navigate to: Admin Home > Modules > Coupons & Gift Certificates

2. Click on the Create a Single Coupon Code link.

3. Customize your coupon code by filling in the appropriate fields. (A detailed descriptions for each of these fields can be found on page 9-10 of the Coupon & Gift Certificates module's manual.)

4. In the "Coupon Restrictions" section, select the specific customer that you want this coupon to be available for. By selecting a customer in this section, you are restricting the coupon to them. Only the selected customer(s) will be allowed to redeem this coupon.

5. If you would like to send an email notification to a specific customer, fill in the "Email this Coupon Information" fields with the customer's information. If these fields are filled in, then an email containing the coupon information will be sent to that customer.

6. Save the coupon. It's now ready to be redeemed in your store!
